The Mulberry
Located in a beautifully restored character building in the heart of Mt Eden village, The Mulberry opened in early 2010 but is already becoming a firm favorite with locals as it easily caters for both casual and formal occasions. The downstairs area has a casual charm and is the idea place for catching up with mates over a drink while ordering from the ‘tastes’ menu. Heading upstairs there is a lounge bar and a more formal dinning area where you can order á la carte. Subtle lighting and a warm décor make The Mulberry a place where you can enjoy relaxed conversation as well as excellent food. Mainly local produce is used and the inventive fare offered on the tastes, blackboard and á la carte menus changes daily. If you’re eating upstairs , try to save some room for dessert as the Black Doris Brulee with coconut shortbread is a knockout.
